Before Patricia Eck entered a room at the Jared Galleria of Jewelry in Colorado Springs, surveillance video shows her looking inside for a few seconds. She then placed an item in her coat and picked up a clear one-gallon bag with about 206 pieces of Le Vian jewelry, according to Eck's arrest affidavit. She walked away unnoticed, allegedly taking about $1 million in jewelry to her home about two miles away. One employee told police that Eck had been a regular Jared customer for the past three years, coming to the northeast Colorado Springs location about once a month, the affidavit states.
