The Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau recognized three hospitality industry members and a longtime employee as part of its annual tourism awards celebration Thursday. The event, attended by about 200 industry members, took place at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort on the city's southwest side. The CVB's "Shining Star" award winners included: - Doug Martin, chief operating officer of the Colorado Springs Sports Corp. Martin has been with the organization since 2003.
