The push to "Light the Drake" has gone dark, despite officials' enthusiasm for the idea of illuminating the coal-fired Martin Drake Power Plant in downtown Colorado Springs. The project would have draped the plant with multicolored LED lights. It's been tabled but "may be revisited at a more opportune time," announced Andy Vick, executive director of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR).
