More than 6,000 homes in northeastern Colorado Springs were without power for 30 minutes on Sunday night, according to Colorado Springs Utilities. The outage was reported around 8 p.m., and started due to equipment trouble, Utilities said. Briefly, 6,272 customers were out of power in an area that stretched from North Academy Boulevard east just past Rangewood Drive, and from Vickers Drive north to Research Parkway.
