(Source: Sierra Club) SAN FRANCISCO - The California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) today voted to approve PacifiCorp's request to delay a formal review of the utility's budgets. The decision came despite a protest by the Sierra Club over concerns that the CPUC has informally rubber-stamped PacifiCorp's past requests to raise the electricity rates of local California communities to pay for their aging coal-fired power plants.
